csa box: week 6

We had rain! Two nights in a row! My garden is SO happy and I know that farmers in my area are relieved (for now).

::in the box:: 2 types of cucumbers, 2 types of summer squash, scallions, new garlic, green beans, sage, lettuce, carrots, beets, cabbage

With the dry weather there was not a lot of 'extra' available to purchase this week, but I picked up a few things.

::extras:: carrots, beets, sage

To see what was in our CSA box this week in previous years::

What is now in season where you live??

Nice bounty! Do you get a full share? I'm splitting a full share with my mom this year and get plenty to feed our family each week. Next year I may get a full share by myself just so I can lacto-ferment a lot of the veggies.

This week I got: pickling cucumbers, sweet corn, red tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, green beans, jalapenos, green bell peppers, red potatoes, yellow onions, red onions, red beets, and a sangria watermelon. Yum!

It's been SUPER dry here. Where do you live?
