Week two! Our garden is kicking into high gear (finally) and so with the CSA and garden we are starting to ferment, can, freeze and dehydrate. I love having a full pantry and freezer!
in the box:: beets, spring onions, zucchini, snow peas, kohlrabi, asparagus, lavender, strawberries, two types of lettuce, kale, and fennel
extras:: chives, dill, sage, and snow peas

Just say the word, and you'll never have to pay for chives again. Please. I seriously composted about 200 plants this spring, and I'll be tearing out another 100 or so soon.
Oh, one of these days, can Rob stop by and get the bucket? I keep forgetting.
Enjoy your CSA! xo
Yum, it all looks d'lish and I am very envious of the asparagus. We could eat it every day here but it's so pricey and hard to find locally.
Here's what we got!

Love the blog! I just came across it while looking for a lactofermented garlic scape recipe.
I am a small-scale organic veggie farmer up here in British Columbia and we've just started a box program this year. It's not a true-CSA but we're hoping to move towards that model eventually. (The concept is a little foreign to a lot of people around here.)
Do you mind my asking the approximate value of one box #1 or #2? We're trying to figure out what we would charge if we moved towards shares.
Your veggie boxes do look really great. If you have any other comments or feedback to make as a CSA member, we would love to hear it.
Thanks! Vanessa (vanessasamur@gmail.com)
